All this talk about feathers and the integument system in my comparative vertebrate anatomy class got me in the mood to draw some birds. And what better bird than the peacock? In an attempt to seem a little less cliche, I went for the green peafowl as opposed to the more stereotypical blue headed indian peafowl. That, and who could resist those beautiful green head feathers??
The background is Guilin, China. It was drawn from a photo taken by parents while they were staying in China last year. I would love to go there.
